Coaching Experience, Skating Background and Additional Training:
Skating has been a very important part of my life. I have competed in dance pairs for over 14 years at all levels of competition. I have reached nationals and placed in the top eight within the Junior Canadian dance event.
I have more recently worked with many dancers by partnering them through their dance tests. I continuously work and partner with skaters at all levels to build and foster strong skating skills.
Coaching Philosophy:
Coaching has provided me with many opportunities and learning experiences. I am a school teacher by day and skating professional at night! I bring an educational background to the rink and believe that all skaters learn and develop differently and at a different pace. I appreciate the opportunity to help my skaters further develop their skating skills by engaging them in interactive activities that allow them to experience success. I am a very committed and enthusiastic coach who works to instill the love of skating and I have the drive to encourage skaters to achieve their full potential.
