Program Details
Skate Oakville's Ice Dance Program is for skaters who are interested in pursuing competitive Ice Dance. Skaters generally join the program once they have successfully completed their STAR 3 dance tests. This program provides opportunities for skaters to develop their skills either as solo dancers or, if they have a partner, to train as a team.
Following Skate Canada’s STAR dance structure and levels, the program emphasizes the development of strong skating fundamentals, musicality, partnering skills, and performance quality. Skaters train in both pattern dances and free dance, with a focus on technique, artistry, and the unique discipline of ice dance.
Skaters wishing to be considered for the program should contact the Skate Oakville office (office@skateoakville.ca)
