Skate Oakville, based at the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex (3070 Neyagawa Blvd, Oakville, ON), is one of Canada’s largest and most respected skating clubs. A proud Skate Canada member, offering year‑round programs for all ages and levels.
Our comprehensive offerings include:
- Learn to Skate: Structured lessons for beginners—kids, teens, and adults—focusing on balance, basic skills, and confidence.
- STARSkate & Recreational Figure Skating: Group and open‐ice sessions for skaters aiming to progress through Skate Canada’s test system.
- Competitive Training: Elite coaching for singles, pairs, and ice dance—ranging from developmental levels to high‑performance competitive programs, led by certified coaches and former Olympians.
- EDGE Synchronized Skating: Introductory to advanced teams, for skaters interested in synchronized skating, competing locally and nationally.

Our Three Locations
Our main office is located at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, where we also run our figure skating and competitive skating programs. To better serve our Learn to Skate members, we offer CanSkate classes at three different arenas across the community.

Did You Know?
Skate Oakville is the training centre for many high level figure skaters, including the current World Champions in Pairs Skating, Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara. Although representing Japan, Riku and Ryuichi have been training in Oakville since 2019. During this time they have steadily risen through the international ranks, achieving remarkable success, including the 2023 and 2025 World Championship title and earning a Silver medal in the Team event at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
